Session 1, 2, 3

Prepare for the session - Studio session - Sales presentation

Some information I like to share with you about your upcoming photo session. What to expect on your photo session after you booked your appointment and how-to proceed for a great fun filled time in my studio. I break it down to 3 items.

1 - Prepare for your session
2 - Studio session
3 - Sales presentation

1 - Prepare for your session:

During your consultation in my studio, you have selected the background of your choice and possible props to be used in your session.

Here are just a few more clothing tips I would like to share with you. Keep clothing simple and when possible, wear solid colors. Avoid clothing with large patterns or stripes and bright colors that will draw the attention away from you. Long sleeves will help in directing focus to your face. For full body shots coordinate clothing all the way, including your shoes. Scoop or V-neck tops works with short necks and full faces, high-necked clothes or turtlenecks work with long necks and slender faces.

For family or group portraits try to keep clothes consistent. Try to have each family or group member dressed in the same style. Do not mix casual and formal clothing. Coordinate your clothing colors with the backdrop color you selected. E.g., light colors on white background and dark colors on dark background.

I do have a few props at the studio, but feel free to bring your own to show your personality. And for small children, let them bring their own favorite toy.

2 - Studio session:

During your photo session there is no rush and you can change props or clothing anytime, if so desired. (Excluding mini session)

I have a variety of services to meet your needs, as we will talk about during the consultation. The studio session fee is for time & talent only. I offer wall portraits finished with a selection of textures, printed on photographic paper and with various mounting options as well as high quality canvas wraps. Table top portraits are also available in the classic sizes, and are finished and mounted with the same quality materials as the wall portraits.

Digital photos are processed at the studio. In about 5 to 7 business days, depending on the type of your session, you will be able to preview the photos. The selected photos may need additional editing. Obviously, this will take some additional time. Normal image processing is included in all my photos.

Retouching individual photos is available for a small fee. The retouched photos are usually ready for your approval in 5 to 7 business days, in my studio or on a secure website.

3 - Sales presentation:

My sales presentation, which is the preview, selection and ordering of your portraits, will be held in my studio approximately one week after your session.

The appointment for the sales presentation will be made after the portraits are processed and are ready to be viewed. This will be the time when you select and order your portraits. After the sales presentation, and after the initial order has been placed, it is optional to have your portraits placed on my online hosting service. This will, for example, enable out of state family to view and order your family portraits as well.
